Avicenna Preparatory School is a K-8, private IB Candidate school serving the Columbus Metropolitan Area. Established in 2017, our vision is to provide a learning space that honors the dignity and worth of every student and cultivates their potential. To do this, we execute our mission by creating an environment where students aim high, teachers challenge minds, and parents support the process.
Academic excellence.
Our school values unity, stewardship, compassion and knowledge as modeled by our namesake, Avicenna (Ibn Sina), an 11th century Persian-Muslim philosopher and scientist.
Our environment and curriculum reflects Avicenna’s knowledge-seeking and worldview that knowledge need not be compartmentalized.
Building Character.
Our students participate in a continuous process to develop the spiritual, intellectual, moral, social and physical aspects of their characters and personalities. This school-wide goal is rooted in Islamic tenets that are the foundation of this institution.

Education happens within the context of a larger community. Our approach extends beyond the school to help ensure students have the necessary support to do their best learning.
