Qur’an and Islamic Studies
Avicenna Prep strongly emphasizes the development of Islamic behavior and personality. Daily instruction includes different aspects of Islamic manners, prayers, and maintenance of Islamic identity in a non-Islamic society.
This instruction develops skills in different areas such as public speaking, hygiene and personal etiquette (including male/female social interactions), holiday celebrations, public and private worship protocol and community engagement using a school/home learning model.
We provide Imam training for boys starting in 2nd grade.
Islamic education is a twenty-four hour learning process and homework is an integral part of the Qur-anic and Islamic education program at Avicenna Prep. Regular homework assignments will help students’ levels of understanding and progress and will reinforce sills acquired in classrooms.
