Assalamu aleykum dear Parents and Guardians

As we start the school year, nothing matters more than the health and safety of everyone in our school 

community, therefore we would like to reiterate the following points:

• It is imperative that parents monitor the health of their children each morning to make sure they don’t have symptoms of the coronavirus before leaving home.

• Every student arriving at Avicenna will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms including a temperature check. 

• Only those who are symptoms free will be allowed to enter Avicenna.  

• Consistent with the executive orders, Avicenna requires that all teachers, students and staff, who can medically tolerate a face covering, wear one when they are inside the building.

• As per CDC guideline, we will maintain social distancing, both in the building and during drop off and pick up times, inshaAllah

• Parents should remind their children of the importance of good hand hygiene and should ensure that they frequently wash their hands

• Remember, physical distancing and good hygiene remain critical even while wearing a face mask.

We appreciate your ongoing patience and flexibility as we chart a steady course in this time of uncertainty and fear, and adapt to this new way of doing things. Nothing is more important than the health, safety and continued academic progress of your student.
